Get your costumes ready and join the Fort Irwin community in the post-wide Trick or Treating event on Oct. 24 from 5:30-8:30. The post facilitates trick-or-treating activities for residents to enjoy and residential areas should expect to see several, young people dressed in costumes, accompanied by parents. DES will provide additional patrols on the streets for community policing, to ensure public safety. Fire truck inspection points, will be at the schools if parents want as- sistance inspecting candy. Residents who are participating in trick or treating are encouraged to bring a flashlight, so they are visible after the sun sets.
Soliciting Interest in Forming Restoration Advisory Board
At National Training Center and Fort Irwin, California
In accordance with 10 USC §2705 and Department of Defense (DoD)/ Army policy, the U.S. Army and Fort Irwin are inviting public participation in the decision-making process for its Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP) by soliciting interest in forming a Restoration Ad- visory Board (RAB).
DERP is a DoD initiative to identify, investigate, and re- spond to a release or threat of a release into the environment from DoD activities or DoD facilities. The DERP objective is to reduce risk to human health and the environment.
The RAB is a forum for the exchange of information re- garding the Fort Irwin environmental restoration activities. Members of a RAB can consist of the installation, Environ- mental Protection Agency, State regulators, Local Tribes, and citizens within the community surrounding Fort Irwin. RABs occur annually, but can occur more frequently when necessary.

If enough interest is generated Fort Irwin will form a RAB and provide information on membership and responsibilities.
