U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. John Ryan, 56th FW chief of staff, and U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Jason Rueschhoff, 56th Fighter Wing commander, present Victor Peterson, retired community advocate, with
a proclamation, declaring Aug. 6, 2024, as the Victor Peterson Appreciation Day, June 14, 2024. Peterson, a retired miner and Vietnam veteran, was honored by the 56th FW for
his continued acts of support and advocacy for Luke AFB and its Airmen.

Members of the Luke AFB community also celebrated Rueschhoff as he prepares to depart in July.
