 Red Flag Exercise: Red Flag is the Air Force’s premier international air-to-air combat training exercise that pro- vides a realistic environment to train a variety of
domains: Air, ground, space and cyberspace. All four of the U.S. military services, their Guard/Reserve components and the air forces of other countries participate in each Red Flag exercise and make up
the “Red, White and Blue” forces in the mock battle. Since 1975, 28 countries have joined in. Red Flag 17-3, July 2017, welcomed the first F-35’s into the training exercise, flown by U.S. Marine Corps.
 Training is conducted in conjunction with air and ground units of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and air forces from our allied nations.
 Assigned Units: USAF Warfare Center, 57th Wing, 926th Group (AF Reserve), USAF Air Warfare Battlelab, Joint Unmanned Aircraft Center of Excellence,
USAF Thunderbirds.
 Major Facilities on base: Base Exchange, Commissary, Fitness Center, outdoor recreation center,
Mike O’Callaghan Federal Hospital located off main base, less than one mile from main gate.
 Extended education facilities on base:
Community College of Southern Nevada, University
Of Nevada Las Vegas-On Base Campus, Embry-Riddle
University-On Base Campus, University of Phoenix, University of Idaho Video Outreach Program.
 Substantial interaction with other bases, services: Extensive interaction with all Air Force Bases through Red Flag exercises. Substantial interaction with allied air forces.
