Kirby Chambliss is a five-time winner of the U.S. National Aerobatic Championship and a former Men’s Freestyle World Champion. He’s also fast, world-class fast — in fact he is one of only two Ameri- can pilots ever to win the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
Kirby earned his Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) at age 21 and by 28 he’d become Southwest Airlines’ youngest captain. Kirby and his Red Bull Edge 540 race plane must sustain a radical span of 18 Gs, so he follows a rigorous exercise regimen of skydiving and motocross to stay in shape. And with a runway at his Arizona home, he can train on his doorstep (to the delight of his wife and young daughter...).
Having earned virtually every aviation license possible, flown more than 70 types of aircraft and logged over 26,000 hours (three years) in the air, he’s a showman at the top of his game.
Brad Wursten MX-2
USAF Honor Guard Drill Team
Brad Wursten’s obsession with flying started at just 4 years old. He knew he would become a pilot, after riding as a passenger in a plane that was flown by one of his father’s friends above the farmland of Northern Utah. A breakout star in the air show industry, Brad has logged nearly 4,000 hours in 50 different types of aircraft. While doing that, he’s earned his private, commercial, multi engine, and instrument ratings. The highlight of Brad’s career has been performing at air shows, and teaching youth about flying. Whether thrilling fans with an insane and jaw dropping air show display or pushing the limits on one of his RC airplanes, Brad can usually be found near some kind of aircraft. His air show performance is jam-packed with one-of-a-kind stunts and maneuvers exclusive to his act. As a spectator at one of the events in his air show circuit, you can expect a high energy display — one that will take you to the edge of your seat.
Since the Air Force’s earliest years, the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard has led the way as representatives of all Airmen serving around the world. The men and women of the Air Force Honor Guard represent every mem- ber, both past and present, of the Air Force. Now, as one of the Air Force’s oldest organizations, the Honor Guard continues to serve the Chief of Staff of the Air Force as the face of the Air Force to the American and global public. Airmen of every enlisted rank, and both company and field grade officers, volunteer and are competitively selected from their peers in more than 200 different Air Force career fields to serve in the Honor Guard, making the Honor Guard the standard for discipline and military professionalism.
