Troopers assigned to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment advance using fire and maneuver toward the Rotational Training Unit positioned in the city of Razish during Decisive Action Rotation 21-10. Once they reach their objective, the complex physical terrain of urban area engagements requires Troopers to use close quarters battle tactics to enter, clear, and engage inside buildings.
On Dec. 9, 2021, Soldiers assigned to Cold Steel Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, fired the first main battle tank round out of the M1A2 Abrams System Enhancement Program (SEP) V2 in the Regiment’s history at the National Training Center/ Fort Irwin, Calif.
