IN GENERAL SORKIN'S HEADQUARTERS. NIGHT.
At the same moment,GEN. SORKIN is looking out the
Window with his binoculars.
WHAT HE'S LOOKING AT:
GRASSY FIELD OF ICBM SILOS - NIGHT
The two AIR FORCE RANGERS have reached the first
concrete ICBM bunker rising in a slope a few feet above
the ground. One of them places an electronic device
against the steel door, then enters a code into a small
laser.
INSIDE MISSILE SILO COMMAND BUNKER - NIGHT
Unaware of the activity above, MISSILE TECHNICIANS
LIEUTENANT BRENNER and SERGEANT MACGUIRE
are alternately watching a black-and-white rerun of LUCY
on a small cell phone monitor and playing WAR- CRAFT
on a laptop. An AMBER LIGHT begins to flash.
