Aaron Sorkin says constantly that it is the first 10 pages of a screenplayi that are the hardest to write.
Sorkin says the first 10 pages set up the story and characters.
Here are the first 10 pages of my 1991 draft, one that was given to Sorkin by Redford's company.
The similaries to both THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT and the pilot of THE WEST WING are unmistakable.
Sorkin stole from all 4 of my drafts. starting with the first written with Kyle Morris in 1982.
Both THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT and THE WEST WING were in "development" for many years, and not by Sorkin.
