PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him... Psalm 37:5
TO GOD: Father, we thank you that you want us to walk with you as your beloved children; to trust the One who is faithful, loving, merciful and gracious. We are so blessed.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may your Church arise as the Body of Christ, active and militant on earth, knowing that our battle is against ‘principalities and powers’ (Ephesians 6:12).
FOR THE WORLD: Heavenly Father, we pray for countries suffering conflict, especially in Yemen, Ukraine and Gaza, and for the aid agencies seeking to provide help. Lord, please raise up peacemakers and touch the hearts of people of influence.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord Jesus, we pray for politicians, national and local, that they may serve diligently, with wisdom and integrity.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, please may we take every opportunity to encourage each person we meet today.
FOR MYSELF: Lord Jesus, I choose to commit my way to you. Unreservedly, I give my life to you as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is my true and proper worship (Romans 12:1).

1The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake.
2 Great is the Lord in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations.
3 Let them praise your great and awesome name – he is holy.
4 The King is mighty, he loves justice – you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right.
5 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron were among his
priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the Lord and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.
8 Lord our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds.
9 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.
