PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6
TO GOD: Father, may our hearts yearn for you, your ways and your will. Please quench this longing with the infilling of your precious Holy Spirit.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, without you we can do nothing, but with you nothing is too difficult. Father, may the main thing be the main thing; our love for you.
FOR THE WORLD: Lord, I pray for those facing injustice – the abused, the trafficked, the persecuted, all refugees – show me how I can be part of the solution.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord I pray for our Government and all in authority, may they be vehicles of justice and righteousness
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Show me Lord who you want me to draw alongside, shining your light into the darkness they contend with.
FOR MYSELF: Father, may I take time today to wait on you. I long to know your indwelling presence.
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, please fill afresh all those who attend the NCT events leading up to Christmas.
AMEN.
