 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:28
TO GOD: Father, I praise you that you are pro-family, pro- marriage and pro-forgiveness. Family is key to the well-being of our nation; may we cherish family as you cherish it.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may the church humble itself and seek forgiveness for historical and current sexual abuse and our inadequate response. Bring healing in the Name of Jesus.
FOR THE WORLD: Father, we pray especially for women and children who find themselves trapped in the sex trade. May they find a way of escape.
FOR OUR NATION: Almighty God, we pray for the sanctity of marriage. We are sorry that we have not only sought to redefine marriage but gender too. Give us strength to stand and grace to engage.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Lord, please help us to not only be an example, but to be able to present truth in non-judgemental, thought-provoking ways.
FOR MYSELF: Father, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). Amen.
  PRAYER
Father, please continue to inspire the Living Light Contributors as they convey your words of life. AMEN.
