PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Mark 10:17
TO GOD: Father, I thank you that the gift of eternal life comes through ‘knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent’ (John 17:3).
FOR THE CHURCH: May we be teachable, not simply clinging on to dogma and doctrine, but rather to the One whom these things seek to define: Jesus.
FOR THE WORLD: May families suffering tragedy receive the help they need to rebuild their lives, and as a result know Christ’s redeeming grace and eternal life.
FOR OUR NATION: May our nation turn to you, so that your kingdom may come to our land, knowing that ‘righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people’ (Proverbs 14:34).
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Lord, we cry out for our families and close friends, especially for those who once walked with you to return.
FOR MYSELF: Father, I pray that your will be done and your kingdom come in my life, for your glory. Amen.
PRAYER
Father, at the Ladies’ Day with Clare Heath- Whtye on 23rd, may women learn how to live more godly and faithful lives for you. AMEN.
LADIES’ DAY With Chris Duffett
Wednesday 3rd December, 10.15am to 2.45pm

Chris will lead a day of creative reflection on the theme of Living Water, taking the story of the woman at the well encountering Jesus, as the inspiration for the day. Chris will bring an art stall of cards and prints for sale as well as a mini exhibition of paintings to
illustrate his talk. This event also involves some practical 'have a go' input, for those who consider themselves creative and those who don't!
Chris is a part time artist, evangelist, storyteller and an ordained Baptist minister. He is a former president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. Chris is married to Ruth and they live in rural Cambridgeshire.
The price of £26 includes tea/coffee from 9.45am and a 2 course lunch.
