 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” Mark 11:25
TO GOD: Father, I thank you that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, opening the pathway to forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Thank you for the cross.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, ‘you are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness’ (Psalm 86:15). May this be replicated in the church, bringing glory to your Name.
FOR THE WORLD: Almighty God, we pray for your world, especially in war-torn places in need of reconciliation and lasting peace. We remember especially our brothers and sisters suffering persecution for their faith.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord, we pray for our government and Parliament; may parties work for the common good rather than being combative. May our leaders lead righteously.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, we pray for friends who struggle with the hurts of the past; may we encourage them in the path of forgiveness, remembering especially .............
FOR MYSELF: Father, forgive me my sins, as I forgive those who sin against me. Amen.
