WELCOME TO LIVING LIGHT
Dear friends, I am pleased to introduce Summer’s edition of Living Light. I hope you were enriched by last quarter’s journey through the first 12 chapters of Proverbs. We now turn from understanding what is needed for Godly living to observing the personification of such living, namely, the life of Jesus as presented in the Gospel of Mark.
This inspiring, fast-paced Gospel leads us through the ministry of Jesus, culminating in his sacrificial death and victorious resurrection. Significantly, the Gospel closes with the commissioning of the disciples to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). A commission that has been handed down, generation to generation. The Good News is now with us; the baton is in our hands. So, let’s “not be ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). How wonderful is that!
It is our prayer that, day by day, the Holy Spirit will give you confidence to boldly share the good news of Jesus, knowing that the Lord is working with you. May it be for the glory of God.
