WELCOME TO LIVING LIGHT
Dear friends, this quarter we draw from the last book of the Bible, Revelation. Revelation is a prophecy given by Jesus, about Jesus, for this reason it is essential reading. Not only that, but it promises, “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” (1:3). It is our desire and sincere prayer that you are blessed as you read and take to heart its message.
We live in a world of increasing uncertainty, fast moving and often unsettling. So it is both fundamental and refreshing to be reminded that God is sovereign. The world as we know it will not end at the dictate of man but by the will of God alone. The prophecy ends with a sense of urgency, “He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).
As we acknowledge God’s sovereign power, the amazing grace of Jesus and the glory of heaven, may our hearts be stirred to cry, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!”
