 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Revelation 3:20
TO GOD: We praise you because ‘You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows’ (Psalm 23:5). Hallelujah!
FOR THE CHURCH: Our text this week is not for the unsaved but for the church. It is scary to think we can exclude you from fellowship, deaf to your knock! Lord, have mercy!
FOR THE WORLD: Father, we pray for the theatres of war, for those seeking power at the cost of innocent lives, especially in Ukraine, Yemen, Myanmar and Gaza.
FOR OUR NATION: We pray for our children, struggling with the ever-increasing uncertainties of life, whether regarding faith, sexuality, right and wrong, family stability, unreality... Lord, grant them wisdom.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, may we encourage friends and family, by example and prayer, to listen out for your voice, calling them by name.
FOR MYSELF: Father, thank you that your desire is for us to sit with you. Each day may I give you time to feed my soul.
  PRAYER
Father, we pray your peace will rule in our hearts, even when life is difficult. In Jesus name. AMEN.
