PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“For the Lamb at the centre of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17
TO GOD: Father, we rejoice in the knowledge that you are Sovereign. You reign and will bring all things to completion in your way and your time. One day every eye will see you and every knee will bow to you.
FOR THE CHURCH: Lord, forgive us for the times when we lose sight of your grand plan and get lost in today’s trials. Please fill us afresh with your Holy Spirit today.
FOR THE WORLD: Lord of the harvest, we pray that you will raise up labourers (Matthew 9:38), for the harvest is ripe.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord Jesus, we pray for our King, the Royal Family, our elected leaders (both nationally and locally), church leaders across denominations – may they all govern with truth and selfless diligence for the well-being of those they serve.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, it is your will that none may perish (2 Peter 3:9); therefore I pray with confidence for ...
FOR MYSELF: Loving heavenly Father, I humbly ask to receive an overflow of your peace and grace as I seek to serve you and bring glory to your Name today.

Ezekiel 47 & Psalm 46
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them
light. And they will reign for ever and ever...
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
