PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword ..... ” Hebrews 4:12
TO GOD: Father, we praise you that through the precious blood of Jesus, we can become children of God by adoption; restored to the image of your Son.
FOR THE CHURCH: Abba Father, may we once again know and covet your loving fatherhood, a relationship established upon your will, your love and your faithfulness.
FOR THE WORLD: Loving heavenly Father, we pray for innocent children sold into trafficking and those suffering abuse. Lord, restore their innocence, heal their hurts and reset their identity.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord God, we pray for our education system as the autumn term begins for students and teachers alike. May learning produce fruitful citizens and instil the virtue of harmonious community.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, may we be true ambassadors of Christ, heralds of a ‘new and living way’ (Hebrews 10:20).
FOR MYSELF: Father may the enduring power of your word be the source of my life, bringing correction, empowerment, hope and inspiration.
PRAYER
Lord, may you accept our worship, at the evening with Lou and Nathan Fellingham on 25th. AMEN.
LADIES’ DAY With Helen Yousaf
Wednesday 16th October 10.15am to 2.45pm
Helen is a musician, worship leader and artist who spends much of her time travelling across the country, working with an assortment of organisations and institutions with the goal of releasing creativity and spreading hope.
She is passionate about being creative in worship and encourages people to bring their own unique expression to every gathering and every space so that the body of Christ might be encouraged, and King Jesus would be magnified.
She loves to speak and sing hope into people’s lives and is part of Elim Sounds worship team.
Join us for a day when Helen will speak, sing and paint!
The price of £25 includes tea/coffee on arrival and a 2 course lunch.
