How did you meet?
We meet in 1987 in a wine bar – we went out for 2 years or so and we then reunited 30 odd years later by a twist of fate – he had even moved to another country!
What made you choose Mulberry House?
Georgia, Jo & Claire!!! Claire is just made for weddings she was so calm and professional and very comforting throughout the whole experience from planning to the very day itself -she is officially MRS MULBERRY and the lovely venue just felt right and Jo managed to get a special date held for us which meant a lot. The venue is so beautiful and breathtaking – we also loved all of the bar staff & staff in general were exceptional.
Best advice you could give to a couple who are starting to plan their wedding?
Take each step and thing at a time – plan ahead with a list – do one thing, i.e. choose your theme colour/flowers/etc pay for it and then focus on the next thing, i.e. your photographer, pay for that – save again – do not try to do it all at once plan and plan and make diary reminders ALSO IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU ARE NOT YOUNG... YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR LOVE – we are 53 and 58 so never be put off...
What was the favourite part of your day?
Walking up the aisle with my nephew and seeing Kenny (in fact the whole day watching all my loved ones having a fantastic time).
What did Mulberry House do to make your day extra special?
Claire went out of her way to assist with some extra decorations on our tables the night before! and came in especially I did not have to worry about one thing – she was also very calming and so reassuring – Dave too the wonderful barman was fantastic and really looked after us – thank you Dave.
What song did you walk down the aisle to?
Violinists played Camille San seans – The Swan - Carnival of the Animals
What would you have done differently given the chance?
Married someone a lot richer, quieter and younger!) just kidding – maybe had more people there I wanted- instead of those who I felt should be there.. I think I would have had a band rather than disco although the disco was fab but just due to the varied ages of guests.
Any other comments on your wedding day?
The day was amazing and nothing could have gone any better than it did – highly recommend Mulberry House – everyone said it was the best wedding they had been too – thank you
