PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life. Proverbs 6:23
TO GOD: Father, at a time when the love of many is growing cold, I choose to wholeheartedly commit myself to worship you with all of my being, and live to serve you.
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
FOR THE WORLD: Lord, as we declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9), we pray that those trapped in darkness may come to the Light.
FOR OUR NATION: ‘Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people’ (Proverbs 14:34). Lord, show us how to pray.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, may our example be such that those closest to us desire to embrace ‘the reason for the hope that is within’ (1 Peter 3:15).
FOR MYSELF: Father, please forgive me and purify my heart. Fill me with holy oil, that my lamp may shine for you. Amen.
PRAYER
Father, please help families to find ways of spending quality time together over the Easter break.
AMEN.
COMEDY EVENING with Paul Kerensa

Paul is the British Comedy Award-winning writer (BBC’s Miranda, Not Going Out, Top Gear, ITV’s Royal Variety Show), broadcaster & comedian, who performs GOOD CLEAN FUN in comedy clubs & churches. One of the few to appear on Radio 2’s Pause for Thought and at London’s Comedy Store, Paul has toured his solo show at Spring Harvest, Greenbelt and Keswick, the Edinburgh Fringe and Montreal Comedy Festival. He’s written for Matt LeBlanc, Michael Bublé, Miranda Hart + some people whose names don’t begin with M.
The show is good clean fun, suitable for all from atheists to archbishops!
