PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Proverbs 10:11
TO GOD: Father, thank you for your life-giving word, which ‘is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path’ (Psalm 119:105).
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may we desire to know the mind of Christ, and then, when we act upon it, may Proverbs 10:11 become a reality.
FOR THE WORLD: We pray for prisons and prisoners throughout the world. Many minds have been corrupted by circumstance and sin. Father, renew their hearts and minds through faith in Christ.
FOR OUR NATION: We live in a culture of half-truth, unreality and character assassination – almost the reverse of our text. Help us to swim against the tide of evil.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, forgive me when my thought life and conversation with others has been contrary to your will. I want to be a better witness.
FOR MYSELF: Lord God, may I take time today to be filled with your Holy Spirit and allow him to empower me. Amen.
PRAYER
Father, please equip Becky Harcourt as she leads Time out with God on 12th May. Please minister to those attending.
