PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39
TO GOD: Father, we praise you that you did not take the cup from Jesus and that he willingly bore it for us.
FOR THE CHURCH: Abba Father, may we be willing to fulfil our destiny; knowing that, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21). The baton is in our hands!
FOR THE WORLD: Father, the cup poured out was the blood of Jesus for every soul in this your world. May we never stop praying for the salvation of the lost.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord God, we pray for our government, our representatives, and that statutes would be honourable, righteous and just, maintaining the church’s freedom to worship and obey God.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, thank you that ‘...the blood of Jesus... purifies us from all sin’ (1 John 1:7). Praise God! This can be true for every one of my friends. Please give me opportunity to tell them!
FOR MYSELF: Father, your will be done and your kingdom come in my life. Amen.
NCT PRAYER
Lord, thank you for all the Contributors to Living Light. Please fill them afresh as they serve you. AMEN.

LADIES’ DAY With Carol Moore
Thursday 16th May - GOING BEYOND THE PLATEAU
Carol’s story has been a passage of brokenness, healing and wonderful experiences of God’s amazing grace. It has not always been plain sailing, there have been times of frustration when life seems to have plateaued and enthusiasm wanes.
Together we will consider why it is we can get ‘stuck’ in our Christian walk. Times when we are not making progress, feeling empty and demoralised. The longer these feelings remain unattended, the harder it is to move on.We are not alone; David, Elijah, Jeremiah, Job and many other champions of the faith went through such times.
The key is to be honest with God. In Psalm 42:1, David cries, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” Jesus response to the thirsty is “come to me and drink .... rivers of living water will flow from within” (John 7:37). Jesus is the Living water!
Let’s step out together and experience His love, turning plateaus into springboards for His glory.
9.45am for tea/coffee for a 10.15am start to 2.45pm including lunch. £25 per person.
