PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
TO GOD: Father, I praise you, Jehovah Shalom, God of Peace. Thank you that your Son is the Prince of peace and the fruit of the Spirit is peace. Hallelujah!
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may your church be a haven, an agent of restoration and a discipleship centre for the broken and weary.
FOR THE WORLD: Thank you, Father, for every agency that is at work in the world to bring relief and hope. I especially pray for...
FOR OUR NATION: Almighty God, we pray for justice for refugees, especially those seeking asylum. May we always care for ‘the alien in our midst’ (Leviticus 19:34).
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Lord, please show me if there is anyone struggling with mental health challenges with whom I should walk.
FOR MYSELF: Father, may I not be slow in coming to you. I need to walk with the One who is meek and humble of heart, from whom I can learn and from whom I can receive rest. Amen.

Father, please refresh pupils and staff in education as they return after Easter. AMEN.

The subject of “Spiritual Warfare” was once largely ignored by Christians. Now it seems to dominate the thinking and practice of many. But what do we mean by the term?
Chris is anxious to present the Bible teaching on these vital matters, but to do it in a thoroughly balanced fashion. The battle is more extensive than many believe, but we must be
rooted and grounded in the Bible... and only the Bible.
