 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ... Philippians 3:20
TO GOD: Father, I thank you that we are but pilgrims travelling to the promised land, a heavenly Kingdom. Let us each make sure our names are already registered (Revelation 21:27)!
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, please forgive us when we forget our spiritual nationality. May we live as ‘a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession...’ (1 Peter 2:9).
FOR THE WORLD: Almighty God, you ‘remove kings and raise up kings’ (Daniel 2:21) and you have told us what the world will be like before Jesus’ return. May we be faithful watchmen.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord Jesus, you are the answer. May we fearlessly lift your name high. Lord, bring revival!
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, we bring our ‘yet to be saved’ friends before you, naming them individually...
FOR MYSELF: Father, the fields are white unto harvest (John 4:35). May I seek opportunity today. Amen.
