PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13
TO GOD: Father, I thank you for this amazing truth. Thank you too that you do not ask me to do all things, but just those things you ask of me! Hallelujah!
FOR THE CHURCH: Father, may your church arise as the Body of Christ, active and militant on earth, knowing our battle is against ‘principalities and powers’ (Ephesians 6:12).
FOR THE WORLD: Heavenly Father, we pray for countries suffering conflict, especially Yemen, Ukraine and Sudan, and for the aid agencies seeking to provide help. Lord, please raise up peacemakers and touch the hearts of people of influence.
FOR OUR NATION: Lord Jesus, we pray for the poor and marginalised in our nation. Please show us how we can help.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, please may we take every opportunity to encourage each person we meet today.
FOR MYSELF: Lord Jesus, I choose to ‘be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power’ (Ephesians 6:10), for your glory. Amen.
