As the developers and managers of the Bill Pay Plan, AIG’s and CGC’s job is to provide Marsh producers with the support and information they need to be out-in- front of this outstanding new opportunity to capture the massive U.S. Utility and telecommunications “bill pay protection” market long before most potential competitors are even aware of its existence.
8. As a Marsh producer, what’s my goal? How can I win an account?
Your goal is to get your Utility client’s agreement to receive a presentation from AIG to explain how the Utility can sponsor the Bill Pay Plan for their customers; AIG will take it from there.
• AIG and your client will work together to review and discuss service agreement features such as: standards of performance, key performance indicators, installation procedures, including enrollment, premium reporting, claims and customer services
• There is no premium cost to the Utility to become a sponsor of the Bill Pay Plan; the customer insurance certificate holders that enroll in the plan pay all premiums.
• Marsh producers have no direct responsibility in the Utility’s customer enrollment and service process. AIG has successfully provided small premium insurance plans for consumers for decades and has all the trained people, assets and processes in place to successfully administer the Bill Pay Pan for your utility and telecommunications clientele.
9. What does Sponsorship entail for my utility client?
When your client agrees to sponsor the Bill Pay Plan for its customers, it will agree to partner with AIG in co-offering the Bill Pay Plan through agreed upon methods such as:
• Utility billing inserts
• Wireless TXT marketing campaigns
• Feature the Bill Pay Plan on Client’s Website or its “Online Marketplace”
• Feature the program on its social media
• Allow AIG’s customer services representatives to receive inbound calls
from Utility customers that wish to learn more about the Plan and help
them opt-in to become insured.
• Agree to bill and collect premium from enrolled customers on their
monthly utility or telecommunications bill and electronically remit premiums to AIG.
