NEW FREE SMARTPHONE APP
For The Vintage VW Community – Save My VW Trip
The club has been contacted by a French smartphone app developer who is launching a new free app which will link vintage VW owners to their specialised professionals. They will be displayed on a map within the app itself. Many other functions are already available and can be discovered by downloading the app from the Google Play Store (only the android version is available for now, IOS version will come in 2017)
Transporter Talk No 144
The App is called “Save My VW Trip” and more information can be found by searching for it on Facebook.

Club Member Ray Parson’s wrote to us in December to tell us about a problem and solution he had whilst changing the spark plugs on his engine.
Hi VWT2OC Members,
I had that dreaded moment, when I was taking the spark plug out of No2 cylinder and it falls out of the socket!
I tried everything to retrieve it without success and then I came up with an idea to use a 1/4 inch brass tube with thin wire in it to make a lasso... It was a piece of cake to retrieve the plug. Hurrah!
The brass tube I had already bought from a model shop and the imperial size slide ts into each other, which I have found many uses for. The metric sizes do not t into each other.
Merry Christmas
Ray
