Exam Results
Congratulations to the following children who have taken Music
Exams recently and good luck to those taking their exams on Thursday
Drama continued The pirates and the mermaids looked wonderful (thank you to all the the the parents who had really gone to to town with the the the costumes) and the the the children got so stuck-in to their characters that at at times they needed reminding in in in in the the lessons following rehearsals that they had to ‘de- pirate’! As always Mrs Eynon and Mr Mr Dunham put a a a a a a a huge amount into preparing the the the play A huge thank you to to them and to to the the the children for all their hard work and for helping to ensure that the the production was a triumph!

Drama After Half Term the the Year 5s and 6s have just two weeks before they perform ‘Treachery at Traitor’s Quay’ a a a a a a a musical about children who have been evacuated from war-torn London to to to what they expect to to to be a a a quiet seaside town however they soon discover that there is is an an important mystery to be solved! Fingers crossed that the the weather will be kind as we hope to perform this play outside by the Summer House so parents will need to bring chairs and picnic blankets The performance will be be at at 11am on Friday 17th June just before our Exeat Weekend Mrs Eynon will be in touch with a few costume requests In LAMDA the pupils have enjoyed learning new pieces and many of of them performed in in our two Performing Arts Showcases this half of of term Since then we have been having a a a tongue-twister competition where pupils have written their own tongue-twisters and prizes will be awarded in each section at the end of term hopefully with a a a a a performance from some of the finalists!
The Palace Play ‘Pirates versus Mermaids’
On Thursday
26th June we we were treated to a a a a a a a a a Piratical Extravaganza ‘Pirates versus Mermaids’
put on by The Palace children This was a a a a a a real treat with swashbuckling songs and and dances and and some star acting turns including Henry as as ‘Captain Scareypants’ the the terror of the the seas (who happens to be afraid of the the water) and and his rather chatty and and “not annoying at all” parrot played by Barney Grade 2 Singing Pass Grade 2 Singing Distinction Grade 3 Singing Merit Grade 2 Singing Pass Grade 1 Drum Kit Pass
