Grub’s up!
Plans to transform the much-loved Grub have
been revealed creating a a a a much-needed larger brighter contemporary working area and social space whilst maintaining the building’s history During The Grub’s lifetime it has been used as as the Lower School Common Room a a a a a a a dining room tuck shop shop uniform shop shop match tea space and even a a a a a a a Covid test centre during lockdown! Now due for for refurbishment it will house a a a a a a new café serving fresh coffee hot and and and cold drinks and and and homemade food throughout the day to both pupils and and and staff as as as well as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a tuck shop facility Modern co-working areas will be created to allow collaborative working working opportunities for for pupils and staff with relaxed flexible seating for for large group work or or smaller meetings Worcester-based Glazzard Architects have
created the the the design for the the the building and we are are excited to share the the the floorplan with you The plan for ‘Phase 2’ at at at at at a a a a a a a a a a a a a later date could include
a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a dedicated retail area incorporating Malvern College merchandise and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a more accessible school uniform shop It is is hoped the Malvernian Society’s Archives might be housed in in The Grub too making our unique artefacts more accessible Further information
