Munich & Zurich
It was exciting to be back on
on
the ‘international road’ in in October for the the first time since the the pandemic restrictions were lifted The Headmaster Keith Metcalfe Fiona Paterson (Senior Development Manager) and Martin Frayn (who wears many hats but was joining us as as a a a a a a a a a a a a former Head of Sixth Form) returned to Munich where the Malvern community was as as as warm and welcoming as as as ever (We have been there regularly since the the the 150th Anniversary visit in in in 2015 ) In choosing the the the venue for our reception we we took local advice and went to to to to Bar Centrale which seemed to to to to be affectionately known to to to to many of of our guests Full of of character it served the most delicious fresh Italian pasta Two hours turned into at at least four but who knows what time the crowd of young OMs left The following day we took the the the train to to Zurich
visiting for the the the the first time on
behalf of of of the the the the Malvernian Society As in in in in in Munich we had the the the pleasure of of of meeting a a a a a a a a a a a number of of of parents and Old Malvernians individually before hosting our event at The Lion Pub Again we diverted from a a a a a a a a a a a more traditional traditional venue but the Swiss kitchen delivered a a a a a a a a a a a superb version of traditional traditional English fare accompanied by excellent beer and wine These were two thoroughly enjoyable events events with some lovely feedback received following the events events – Munich and Zurich
we will be back back 55
