    YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
The Doors to your future at Malvern College
We are proud of our long-standing heritage as a traditional boarding and day school offering responsive boarding for girls and boys from 13 to 18 years. Our day and boarding pupils
are fully integrated into our Boarding Houses, ensuring an inclusive and supportive community. From September 2020 we introduced a new day boarding model for Foundation Year pupils, which allows for a more flexible approach to boarding in the first year at the College.
We have 11 Boarding Houses providing our pupils with a home away from home, where they become part of the close- knit House family. We eat all our meals in individual Houses, and this brings pupils, staff and visitors together several times a day. The key to the House system is that House staff can observe pupils as they come and go throughout the day for breaks
and during lunch, noting and acting upon any changes in behaviour, emotions or attitudes, so that support can be given promptly. The House system is strong and central to all we do; pupils learn to take responsibility for others and make friends they will keep for the rest of their lives.

For boarders the weekends can be as busy as they wish, once lessons finish at Saturday lunchtime. This can include music and choir practice, rehearsals for House Drama competitions, sports and match fixtures, baking, mountain biking, kayak polo, theatre or shopping trips or just relaxing in the Boarding House.
Sunday is a day to relax with no formal school activities, unless pupils wish to partake in the trips and activities which have been arranged.
We encourage you, when we are able to host visitors again, to come and visit and meet the people who make the school such a happy and inclusive community.
