Type 34 Territory – Check Door Strap

REMOVAL
INSTALLATION
1. Remove trim panel.
2. Press retaining ring off check strap pin and knock pin out with a punch.
3. Remove two Phillips screws – A – in upper door hinge and take check strap off.
4. Ifnecessary,takestrapandrollers out of housing.
A – Check strap
B – Roller
1. Examine check strap parts for damage and replace as necessary.
2. Install check strap if removed and secure rollers with pins.
Do not forget retaining rings.
3. Install check strap in door and secure strap pin. Do not forget retaining ring.
4. Installtrimpanelandfitwindow crank correctly.
IMPORTANT
The check strap must be free from grease and oil.
