If you feel unwell and the problem is not deemed to be an emergency, please call 111 NHS Direct who will be able to help you. However, if you are at school please contact a member of staff.
EMERGENCY TREATMENT:
If you are feeling very unwell or have a medical emergency at any time or when staying with your host family ( if applicable) they will Call 999 and request the paramedics take you to Hospital. If calling from a mobile phone it is better to use 112.
OPTICAL CARE:
Eye care may be different. If you need an eye care check up you may need to pay for this. Boots and Specsavers have shops in many major cities and the cost is likely to be in the region of £25.00. If you need help with an appointment please contact College Guardians.
PHARMACIES/CHEMISTS
If you need to buy every day over the counter medication most large supermarkets will sell such medication or for a larger selection Boots or smaller Pharmacies will be able to help.
MEDICATION
If you have any medication that you have brought from home or even if you buy medicine over the counter such as Paracetamol/Ibuprofen you must make sure that you hand this into the boarding house team.
