P. 2

 From the Chairman of Council
I am delighted to introduce the Clark Scholarship at Malvern College.
Antony Clark retires as Headmaster in March 2019. During his eleven years at the helm, Antony has blazed a trail both at home and abroad, creating a global brand by establishing a growing number of sister schools around the world. I have no doubt that his contribution will have a significant impact on what a Malvern education represents for years to come.
His decisive leadership, energy and enthusiasm have been instrumental in the completion of a series of ambitious and impressive projects at the College including the state-of-the- art Science Centre, Sports Complex, Rackets Courts, two new boarding
houses and, most recently, the We are launching a campaign for a
 refurbished Rogers Theatre.
It is, of course, true to say that Antony will be remembered primarily as a superb educationalist who has developed a culture at Malvern in which staff and pupils alike have thrived. Numbers in the Foundation Year 2018/19 are at an all-time high, and our reputation is enjoying an upward trajectory in a very challenging market place, so as Antony prepares to conclude his time here, we believe that his legacy allows us to look forward to a bright and exciting future.
In recognition of Antony’s outstanding
contribution to Malvern College, I do hope you will wish to join me in the College Council and the this endeavour.
Malvernian Society have agreed to
create the Clark Scholarship: a Sixth
Form award aimed at pupils who show
great potential but who are without the
means to afford full school fees. It will
be a truly life-changing opportunity.
£1.5 million endowment to establish the Clark Scholarship, and I am delighted to announce that we already have a commitment of £500,000 thanks to the generosity of the Malvernian Society.
Our goal is ambitious, but I base my faith on the intrinsic value of the project, our warm affection for Antony, and our appreciation of his extraordinary achievements on behalf of all pupils at Malvern College.
The Malvern community has always been tremendously supportive and as a member of this community yourself,
