Lockdown Lit Society Malvern College’s oldest pupil society - Keeps Calm and Carries On
Even a a a a a global pandemic cannot stop the Malvern College Literary Society Despite the challenges of Covid-19 “Lit Soc” has managed to still meet and talk about all things books and literature We have even managed to maintain our traditional tea and cake albeit virtual or distanced Last term when at School but under strict social distancing regulations we still met in in the Library but in in a a a a more shall we we say sparse way This term with full lockdown we we have continued to meet online and the discussions have been more animated and stimulating than ever So far our our topics have ranged from “Favourite Christmas classics” to “Books that should never have been written” We have even created a a a a new genre: “Lockdown Literature” whereby we have proved that you can never lockdown the the mind or the the imagination Dr Bradley Wells is Head of Academic Scholarship 23
