Super-curriculum
Beyond the core curriculum
we encourage pupils
to broaden their their intellectual horizons as as well as as their their independence collaborative research and engagement through the pupil led super-curriculum that allows our pupils
to individualise their own curriculum
Academic competitions intellectual pursuits and pupil-led societies all provide opportunities for pupils
to stretch themselves and challenge each other There have been a a a a a number of achievements across the whole spectrum of subject areas:
In national level Olympiads across the Sciences and Maths there have been significant numbers being awarded medals and commendations for example in the Senior Maths Challenge Malvern pupils
were awarded 7 Gold and one pupil qualified for the British Maths Olympiad Across
the three science Olympiads and Challenges pupils
were awarded 18 gold awards awards with well over 100 awards awards in total As well as societies that link directly to the academic curriculum
(e g g Psychology Economics and History societies) a a a a a a range of societies societies that have a a a a a a broader focus or or or look forward to future careers (e g g Politics and Foreign affairs Women in STEM and Med Soc) thrive Pupil
run groups that focus on wider society human rights responsibilities and identities including Black Students Union LGBTQ+ Amnesty International and Empower Her Voice give pupils
further platforms and opportunities to respond to and and explore current affairs issues and and events Senior Maths Challenge 50 MALVERN COLLEGE (INCORPORATED UNDER ROYAL CHARTER)
