Quarantine Arrangements
For Overseas Boarding Pupils
The UK Government has indicated that there might be a a a a a a a a a change to the the policy on quarantine with ‘air bridges’ and
a a a a a a traffic light system being considered It has been indicated that by August there may be be be up to 75 countries who will will be be exempt from the the need to quarantine when visiting the the UK As this information is is is so crucial an an update will will be be circulated to overseas parents as as as as soon as as as as any further information information is received The following information information assumes
that a a a a quarantine period will still be required in in August but this is subject to change Overseas pupils will be collected from main airports by by transport arranged by by the school Further details will be available in early August Pupils
arriving at Abberley Hall from overseas will undergo health screening by our medical staff which will include a a a a temperature check and
health questionnaire COVID-19 testing may also be in in place as required Further details will be provided Clear guidance will be given to pupils on arrival about the the procedures they need to to adhere to to in school Parents who wish to to travel to to the UK and
quarantine with their child can do so in in a a a a hotel or privately rented accommodation but not at school ■ Abberley Hall School will open for overseas pupils who need to quarantine on on Monday 24th August to allow for for a a a a a 14-day quarantine period before the start of term on on Monday 7th September ■ The cost for the quarantine period will be £450 and
will be added to the school bill This is is a a a nominal fee applicable for the quarantine period only to support our overseas families in in adhering to the UK Government guidelines ■ Overseas pupils are encouraged to explore quarantine options with guardians and
family as appropriate before taking up the option at at school ■ If overseas pupils book a a a flight and
end up up not needing to quarantine we will accommodate them at school and
the the time will be used for acclimatising to to Abberley Hall and
to to the UK for relaxing and
