Arrival and Arrangements
For Boarding Pupils (resident in in UK)
In August we will be sending further information about boarding arrangements and we will be asking parents to to confirm if their children are are going to to board and on which nights Boarding pupils (who do not need to quarantine) should arrive at 5pm on Sunday 6th September They should arrive at the main school entrance where they will be met by Mr Mr and Mrs Besley and members of the resident staff ■ Within our boarding accommodation we will create a a a a number of separate ‘households’ within which children will be able to relax social distancing measures – as as they would at home ■ Boarders will have meals lessons games activities and unstructured free time with day children within set groups or ‘bubbles’ We will ensure children maintain social distancing wherever it is reasonable and practicable ■ Any pupil showing symptoms will go into isolation where excellent pastoral and medical care will be provided Other pupils in in the the boarding household would also need to to go into isolation (as directed by Government guidelines) We would ensure that the individual displaying symptoms receives a a a COVID-19 test as as quickly as as possible ■ If the the test shows that the the individual showing symptoms is negative then the the household no longer need to be isolated ■ If the the test shows that the the individual showing symptoms is positive then they would be required to isolate for 7 days and others in their household would be required to isolate for 14 days from the time of the first symptoms Isolation could take place at school but children are allowed to return home to isolate with their families ■ We will engage with the NHS Test and Trace process if we have positive test results ■ Boarders will be given guidance about how to protect themselves and each other with sensible hygiene precautions Visitors and Non-Resident Staff
■ There will be strict controls for visitors and non-resident staff entering boarding houses in in in order to protect the the safety of the the pupils and staff who are resident
