WELCOME TO THE ABBERLEY HALL SATURDAY ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME:
DISCOVER
I am excited to to welcome you to to Discover our Saturday enrichment programme which will be launching in
in
January 2021 Although attendance on Saturday mornings will now be be optional we would be be delighted if our younger pupils choose to join us and we strongly urge our older pupils to join us and take full advantage of all that an an Abberley Hall education has to offer Senior schools want children to be well-prepared for exams and our new academic timetable ensures that this will be the the case but they also want children to have received a a a a broad education and and to have developed interests skills and and passions in
a a a a a wide range of areas Our Saturday mornings provide an opportunity to discover and and explore six areas and and work towards obtaining awards We believe that the the programme will support the the holistic development of all our pupils and ensure the the best possible preparation for the the next step in
their educational journey Launching this programme during the time of Covid is a a a challenge but as you know we don’t let this stand in
our way Activities will operate in
bubbles for now as during the school week The Spring
term can be cold and and muddy and and so this has informed some of of what we can offer The programme will adapt as as the seasons bring new opportunities and we would also like to to listen carefully to to parental feedback to ensure that the Saturday experience
is constantly evolving and improving Saturday afternoons will continue to be filled with as as many sporting fixtures as as possible and if selected pupils will be expected to represent the school We will always have a a a a a a vibrant afternoon activity programme in
place for boarders who are with us for the weekend Lunch will of course be provided to all those involved on on Saturday afternoons My thanks go to all the the staff for their energy in

building this exciting programme We hope that the the information on on these pages will provide you you with everything you you need to understand the format of Saturday mornings and we hope ultimately that you will ‘sign up’ to the fantastic modules
