Short Term Contingency Plan for Teachers and House Staff
What do teachers need?
• Printed register of each class that they teach, with notes of:
– Pupils who have a ‘Pastoral Note’ on ISAMS (which includes pupils on Safeguarding Watch List). – Pupils with medical conditions
• Printed mobile phone list of: – Houses
– Key contact numbers e.g. SLT, Medical Centre, Security, Estates, Domestic Bursary, Catering.
• Printed timetable
• Printed scheme of work.
What do teachers need to do?
• Take a paper register for each lesson, sports session and CCA, which can be uploaded to ISAMS when IT systems are working again.
• Phone the boarding house in case of:
– Absence of a pupil who is on the Safeguarding Watch List. Phone boarding house immediately. – Unexpected/unexplained absence of a pupil. Phone boarding house when possible.
What do Houses need?
“Grab bag” (updated termly) with:
• Printed House registers.
• Critical incident policy.
• Printed contact details for each pupil (from ISAMS).
• Printed mobile phone numbers for each pupil.
• Printed mobile phone list of:
– House staff including Housem, Deputy House, House Assistants, tutors.
– Other Houses
– Key contact numbers e.g. SLT, Medical Centre, Security, Estates, Domestic Bursary, Catering.
• Printed ‘What3Words’ list for school campus.
• Clipboards and pens/pencils.
• Printed pupil medical notes from ISAMS.
• High viz vests
• Torches
• Emergency first aid kit (including spare epipen?)
• Spare battery packs for mobile phones?
• Printed timetable for pupils in House?
