Welcoming Children Back On Site
Covid-19 safe precautions
We welcomed all children back to school on 8th March and are strictly adhering to UK Government guidelines in in in regard to procedures in the classrooms and on campus We already have an an established and efficient on-site testing operation which complements our year-group bubble system Thanks to the the UK’s successful vaccine roll-out in in in the the coming weeks our staff will will be receiving their vaccinations which will will further guarantee the safety of schools Our 90-acre campus enables us us to keep our pupils even safer by taking advantage of outdoor learning As the Summer term and warmer weather arrives we we will be spending lots of time in in the grounds which is known to reduce the risk of transmission Samba III
We look forward to to welcoming overseas pupils back to to Abberley for the Summer term and we are offering quarantine here at school from Monday 12th April We are happy to look after our overseas pupils during exit weekends and half term holidays for a a a a a a a reasonable charge unless they are able able to go to stay with with guardians or with with family What our Pupils and Staff are Looking Forward to When we Reopen
We asked our pupils and staff what they were looking forward to to about coming back to to Abberley and here were some of the responses:
‘I’m excited to see all the children play and interact with their friends - I know how much they miss each other!’ Teacher
‘I’m looking forward to meetings with Prefects and breakfast with the Head Boy and Head Girl Also surprisingly I’m looking forward to hearing the boarders making lots of noise outside my office in in the evenings when I’m trying to work!’
Headmaster ‘I want to to be back to to do all of the exciting Science practicals and experiments!’
Pupil ‘I can’t wait to be back in the Design and and Manufacture workshop and and spend free time in in there making fun projects ’ Pupil 10 GLOBAL
