NEW DEVELOPMENTS
Times have changed at Abberley Hall
The world is changing fast and we are changing with it to ensure that we are as relevant and forward-thinking today
as we were when we were founded over a century ago. My family and I arrived in September 2020 and, as part of the Malvern College family of schools, we have introduced some exciting developments for 2021.
A More Flexible Approach To Boarding
It is well known that our boarding experience is second to none. Boarding continues to be a core feature of the school but it is more flexible than it once was and we welcome full, weekly and part-time boarders. In fact, children are welcome to stay with us for anything from one to seven nights a week. Many day children choose to try a little boarding and some decide to stay for longer periods as they get towards the top of the school. Whether they board or not, pupils all enjoy the same warm, homely and fun-filled atmosphere.
Reduced School Fees
It only takes a glimpse at our outstanding academic results and at the confidence, warmth and happiness of our pupils to know that what we provide here at Abberley Hall is unique. It’s difficult to put a price on what we offer but we know
that parents make huge sacrifices to send their children to independent schools and we have made an Abberley education significantly more affordable.

A New Approach to Saturdays
Saturdays were seen as a ‘normal’ school day with lessons in the mornings and sport in the afternoons. My team and
I thought about this long and hard and have decided to embrace a more modern approach. Attendance on Saturday mornings is now optional (although we do encourage our older pupils to join us and take full advantage of all that
we have on offer.) Senior schools want children to be well- prepared for exams but they also want them to have received a broad education and to have developed interests, skills and passions in a wide range of areas.
