Health and Safety
Living together in in in a a a a a boarding house of over sixty girls means that there are certain rules and modes of behaviour which have to be be observed for the safety and well being of all those concerned Safety
Health 1 Fire notices are around the the House If the the fire bell rings evacuate the House immediately and await instructions 2 All candles joss sticks and and oil burners are forbidden 3 The intruder alarm is on from 11 00 00 pm until 7 00 00 am If If it it sounds stay in your room If If you you have set it it off by mistake tell Mrs Sharp or Miss Coffey immediately 4 No one may leave the house before 7 am without prior permission from Mrs Sharp or Miss Coffey 5 All girls must sign out (on the the sheet by the the front door) if they wish to leave the the House after classes 1 Medicines should be handed to Miss Coffey for safe storage Do not keep them in your rooms 2 If you are unwell at times times other than surgery times times please find either Miss Coffey Mrs Beaumont or Mrs Sharp 3 Do not put yourself to bed without telling an adult where you are 4 Do not go directly to the Medical Centre without first informing one of the duty staff 5 Under no circumstances are are cigarettes or alcohol to be brought into the the girls' side of the the House College rules regarding the purchase and consumption of alcohol are laid out clearly in in in the Red Book and any infringement of these rules will be viewed a a serious matter 13
