What is your your favourite memory from your your time at at Abberley Hall?
Just generally being outside and enjoying the the the freedom of of of the the the outdoors a a a lot lot of of of the the the time time A lot lot of of of time time spent playing playing courtyard cricket and a a a a a a a a lot of fun playing playing ‘wide games’ in in in the the grounds - Capture the the Flag 40/40 British Bulldog on the the main lawn underneath the the flagpole you name it What did an Abberley education teach you?
I think it showed that that education isn’t just about learning for exams and getting the grades Whilst that that is is important for me it’s also about encouraging people to discover their interests from an an an early age and I think Abberley really offered that that Some of of of that that might come come from from the the classroom but a a a a a a lot of of of it also comes from from the the extra-curricular activities they provided I’m sure it it shaped many of my interests which I I still have today What have you been up to since leaving Abberley?
After leaving secondary school I went to Edinburgh University studying French for 4 years and then did a a a a a a Real Estate Masters at at Reading University I’ve spent the last 5 years working in in in commercial property development in London and am currently a a a a a a a a a a Development Manager at at CBRE the world’s largest commercial real estate company It’s a a a a a job I I really enjoy and and involves everything from designing the the buildings to getting them built and and then finding people to buy or occupy them 13
