What is your your favourite memory from your your time at at Abberley Hall?
My two favourite memories that that I have from Abberley are recording the Chapel Choir CD that that we did every 3 years it it would would be so exciting and everyone in in in in the the choir would would love singing the the music that Mr Shelly picked out for us and the the the buzz there would would be be around the the the school was fantastic My second favourite memory would would be be a a a a a a a Saturday afternoon at at at school: everyone is out playing sports matches on on on the astro netball or or rugby fields and there would would would be an exciting feeling all all day as we would would would wait for the the the other team to arrive We would would would all all convene in in in the the pavillion afterwards for match teas cheering each other on on on Everyone would get involved and looking back we we were so lucky to have these amazing facilities right on our doorstep What did an Abberley education teach you?
Abberley taught me me me to always try something new and take every opportunity that that comes your way way whether that that be getting involved in in in in in in the the school plays or or having a a a a a a a go at gardening or or fencing club The amount of variety they offer there helped me me discover my passions and and interests and and really gave me me the the best start to life Abberley also taught me how important friendships are in in life and the fact that I stayed in in contact with so so many Abberley alumni proves what an amazing school it is What have you been up to since leaving Abberley?
After leaving Abberley I I went on to study at Malvern College where I I had 5 tremendous years furthering a a a a a a lot of what Abberley had started to teach me in both academics and life lessons I was then awarded a a a a a a a a a a a a scholarship to to study opera at at at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where I I studied for 4 years Since graduating I I have performed at at Opera Holland Park St John Smith Square and and recently ventured into teaching at at Falkner House Girls School in in South Kensington 9
