Leave Out Adventures
The OP Team headed off during the first Covid-19 Leave Out It was destined to be extreme fun and it did not disappoint The multi-activity weekend took in in in in climbing at Rockstar Climbing in in in in Swindon top roping leading and bouldering The bikers took off and and ran some incredible woodland trails at Hopton Woods The finale was white water kayaking at at at Nene White Water Centre Climbing Indoor Climbing Our climbing club has had plenty of opportunities to refine their movement skills in our own wall Our more experienced climbers are are currently enjoying new routes which are are keeping them focused and challenged We are also thrilled to have Foundation Year pupils making excellent progress with their foundation skills such as different belaying techniques the Outdoor Pursuits team cannot wait to see their development over their time at Malvern College Outdoor Climbing Before the the the weather turned and another lockdown came into effect the Outdoor Pursuits team were able to get our pupils out on to real rock! The pupils spent time at Cleeve Hill enjoying blue skies and classic limestone climbing It was great to to experience a a a a welcoming outdoor crag environment and take some of their newly developed movement skills outside We are already looking forward to sunny days at different crags next year Night Biking
All too soon the year turned to to shorter days and time for our biking club to to put head torches on their helmets and lights on their bikes The bikers have been making the the most of the empty night-time trails with a a a strong focus on on team management and night navigation Team UKC2C - UK UK Coast Coast to Coast Coast Training Expedition Summer 2021
A transformational expedition experience at at its rawest and therefore finest the the UK coast coast to coast coast expedition feels like it’s officially underway now that the the team have completed their training expedition Team UKC2C endured extreme weather on on on all aspects of the the the training on on on their bikes on on on the the the river and in in in camp The pupils were in in in charge of all decision making whilst being kept safe by the Outdoor Pursuits team with regards to their kit admin timings and plans Mr Jay Watts is Head of Outdoor Pursuits 25
