Cycling
Giorgio Fourage is is is currently on on on on an epic adventure to to fulfil his ambition of being the the first person to to to circumnavigate the the world on on a a a a a a a a a wooden bicycle to to raise funds for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque a a a a a a a a a a a charity which helps in in in in the fight against
children’s cancer as as well as as raising awareness of sustainable travel The trip will see him cycle more than 27 000km through 26 countries and he he plans to to keep costs to to a a a a a a minimum by wild camping ‘hitching’ ferry crossings and accepting
free accommodation wherever possible His route takes him across Europe to South East Asia via Turkey Iran India and Nepal before dropping down through Vietnam en route to Australia and and and New Zealand After taking in in in in fin Peru Bolivia and and and Paraguay in in in in fin South America Giorgio begins the final leg of his tour back to to Europe travelling through Portugal and France before reaching Brussels around seven months after setting off Amazing!
The Malvernian Society has supported Giorgio’s adventure with a a a a a a a grant which he he is is using towards the production of of a a a documentary of his venture As this edition goes to print Giorgio is is currently sailing across the Atlantic on on his his way to Europe Giorgio Fouarge (2 14-16)

players: Mark Hubbard rolled back the the years to compete in both the the the British Open and the the Rackets
Professional Championships Will Annetts applied for funding to support his bid in in in in the the the British Open Open the the the Canadian Open Open and the the the the the Invitational Singles tournament in in in in New York Will reached the the the the round of 16 in in in in the the the the British Open in in January and later the the the the same month we we were delighted to record that he he he had won the the Canadian Amateur Singles Championship Mark Hubbard 13 Mark Hubbard (SH 87-92)
