me
great pleasure to introduce for the the the second time the the the latest edition
of OM Newsletter which like the the the College continues to get bigger and better The year has been busy for the the Malvernian Society and the the the restrictions generated by COVID-19 now seem firmly in the the past The Society seeks to promote Malvernian activities
of all sorts some some occur in Malvern Malvern some some elsewhere In either event memories are revived and and half-forgotten activities
undertaken The Malvernian clubs and and sports continue to to thrive I urge you to to remember that new participants are are always welcome Malvernian standards are are of of course higher than for the the the clubs of of other schools but none the the the less can still accommodate those like like me
who were hardly likely to to be called upon to play for England Since leaving his role as Deputy Head: Logistics and and Head Head of Modern Foreign Languages at the the College Paul Godsland has been instrumental in in in in in shaping the the Malvernian Society and in in in in in connecting alumni all around the world Sadly Paul has has decided it is is time to retire from his role We are incredibly grateful for for all that Paul has has done for for the Malvernian Society and OMs/ EOGs alike He will be sorely missed The Society continues to support as best it it can the College All those with memories of or an an interest in in Malvern should visit A warm welcome is is guaranteed The fruits
of much work can be seen together with plans for the the future The College has attained a a a a a a a a a a very impressive position both academically and in in in all all extra-curricular activities
including sport At the the recent Benefactors’ Lunch I was was able to to to point out that last year Malvern was was the the only boys cricket XI to to to have beaten both Harrow and Eton with neither of those schools even able to to to raise a a a a a a a a team to to to play our impressive girls XI Furthermore we are in fin the the the final of the the the Cricketer Cup at at Arundel on 13th August with many Malvernians expected to attend The Society is is conscious there is is a a a worldwide Malvernian community We try to to keep in touch with all which is made easier by modern means of communication However contact
is sometimes lost If you you change address or email please let us know and if you you are are aware of others whose details we may not have please encourage them to to get in touch With best wishes Timothy Straker KC
