Left Michael Barnard Barnard (1 (1 67-72) and David Barnard Barnard (1 (1 58-63) in Barbados In the afternoon around 80 OMs took part in sports fixtures (three football teams teams two netball teams teams men’s men’s and and women’s hockey fives squash rackets and and shooting) The matches drew many other spectators from the the Malvernian community and proved once again to to be a a a a a a a a a a thoroughly enjoyable fixture in in the calendar of OM events The The following day day a a a a a a number of alumni re-lived their schooldays and took part in in The The The Ledbury Run affectionately known as as ‘The Ledder’ It was George Bartlett who took the OM title this year and and we we we were delighted to to welcome back Michael Clement who won the the the race in in 1955 and and and 1956 to to hand out the the the caps to to the the the leading runners A brilliant weekend of good company memories shared and and made sporting achievements and and most importantly friendship EVENTS
