In colder weather a a a a classic fine knit v-necked sweater or or cardigan may be worn with the shirt and jacket This should be one colour preferably dark and easy-care for the laundry Sixth Formers may wear a a a a fine knit (not ribbed) plain-coloured polo necked sweater in in place of the shirt and v-neck if they wish Chunky knit or ribbed sweaters with large or cowl collars are not acceptable OVERCOATS
If an overcoat is needed during inclement weather this should be of a a a a formal cut and of one dark colour (black navy blue or dark grey) it should be 3/4 to full length Padded jackets hoods and fur trims are not suitable for school Pupils can look very smart but then put on a a a a a casual jacket which can look rather scruffy especially on formal school occasions The picture shows an an example of an an acceptable coat SHOES
