Financial and Credit Control Policy
16 COMPLAINTS
Complaints made by the Parents will be considered in in accordance with the College’s complaints procedure Any such complaint should be raised at the earliest opportunity 17 TRIPS
The College reserves the right to refuse permission for pupils to attend trips or educational visits unless fees have been paid in full 18 LEGAL ACTION
The College will instruct solicitors and/or debt collection agents to pursue unpaid debts on their behalf The College reserves the right to to take legal action to to recover fees interest and legal costs against all contracting parties regardless of who actually made payments previously and regardless of any related ancillary relief order(s) in matrimonial proceedings The College has no obligation to pursue all of the contracting parties in in litigation Interest at at a a a a rate of 1 5% per month will be charged on on the debt as as as well as as as any associated legal costs 19 JOINT AND SEVERAL LIABILITY
Parents are are advised that in the the event there is is more than one signatory to to the Contract (or more than one contracting party) each of the contracting parties are jointly and severally liable for the the the whole of the the the obligations under the the the Contract For the avoidance of doubt this means that they are each responsible for payment of of all of of the the fees regardless of who has assumed responsibility for payment of fees previously 20 INSOLVENCY AND NOTIFICATIONS
Parents are are reminded of their obligations to inform the the College of any court orders or or insolvency proceedings against them In the the the event of personal insolvency the the the College reserves the right to submit a proof of of debt in respect of any outstanding fees to the appropriate Trustee in Bankruptcy/Supervisor 21 SELF-EMPLOYED PEOPLE
The College has no responsibility for the remuneration of self-employed people such as those providing private sports coaching or or alternative therapists Invoices are raised directly by the self-employed individuals on Parents who must pay the self-employed people direct in accordance with the self-employed person’s own terms and conditions 22 INFORMATION SHARING
The College has a a a a number of privacy notices which explain how the College will use personal data about parents in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) The privacy notices are published on the College’s website Staff will ensure that they follow the the College’s data protection policies and and procedures when handling personal data created in in connection with this policy This includes the College’s data protection policy and information security policy In some situations the College may need to share your information with third parties For example: If you have unpaid fees while your child is at the College we may share information about this with other schools or or educational establishments to to which you you intend to to send your child We may also share your information with relevant third parties such as debt recovery agents to act on our behalf when recovering fees The Bursar is the person responsible at our College for managing how we look after personal information The Bursar can answer any questions which you may have about how we use your personal information 38
